I have worked with Rob Aston on three projects, all involving tourism. The first targets the worldwide backpackers market for an Island resort in Fiji. The site was built to specification and immediately began to attract hits. In fact it was almost embarrassing as enquiries flowed in before the Resort was officially taken over by the present owners. The second targets the overseas and local markets for a 4 1/2 star Motel complex in Greymouth , NZ. We wanted a site that would sell the property. For a motel to rely on street appeal and signage is leaving too much to chance. Motels need to be 70% pre-booked to achieve real occupancy figures as the margins are very tight. This website achieved that. In fact since the website has been running the Motel has averaged 88% occupancy at increased tariff rates. The third targets the 5 star Tourist market for a Boutique Hotel in Queenstown. Here we set Rob a challenge - look at all the competition around NZ and come up with something better. Rob broke the mould on this type of website and created a site that is informative, easy to navigate, and targeted precisely to the upper end of the market. Most of all it works. Again I had actual reservations worth thousands of dollars before we took over the property. His technical expertise is without question. Our sites have been easy to navigate and anything we ask for - Rob works out a way to make it happen. The sites themselves don't just work on their own. Rob manages them and places them in Search Engines where they will be found high on any search list. Rob monitors results andconsistently fine tunes and suggests new ideas and opportunities. The cost is minimal and Rob works on results to a great extent. I have paid thousands more for websites that did not work nor were they as attractive as Rob's designs. I heartily recommend Rob Aston. Kelly In early 2003 Rob Aston was commissioned to create a website for my 4+ star motel. Rob created an excellent site for an exceptionally good price. The site is eye catching and very easy to navigate and understand. From the moment the site was launched it has created a steady stream of inquiries that have been converted into hundreds of guests bookings. The success of the website is due mostly to Rob's management. He continually monitors the site insuring it is placed high in Search Engines, thereby getting the results of firm bookings for the motel. This is particularly important in the motel industry where occupancy levels need to average 75% plus to achieve good profits. I have really appreciated the marketing assistance and advice Rob has given to me which has resulted in increased bookings for my motel. Rob is also an absolute delight to deal with. I highly recommend Rob Aston as a web designer and manager of any website.
